I need help making sure everything's compatible.
I'm planning to order a custom pc for the first time and am wanting to make sure that all the parts that I've chosen are compatible with one another. My main concern is the cooling kit fitting with the build and if I'll still be able to install the two 140mm fans with the cooling kit or not. I'm new to custom built pcs and would appreciate any feedback.

Video Card: EVGA - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3
2.5 SSD: Samsung - 870 EVO 2 TB SSD 3-bit MLC V-NAND SATA III 6Gb/s
M.2 / NVMe SSD: Inland - Performance Plus 4 TB 3D TLC NAND PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 internal SSD
Water Cooling Kit: Corsair - iCUE H170i ELITE LCD 420mm Liquid CPU Cooler
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Case Fans: 2 orders of Lian Li - UNI FAN SL120 Fluid Dynamic Bearing 120 mm Case Fan w/Controller (3 pack)
Corsair - AF140 White LED Hydraulic Bearing 140mm Case Fan - Twin Pack
I added some thermal compound because I was unsure if Micro Center included it in the building service.

Hi @dlhayes,
So the only problem I see is the H170i cooler. The largest cooler the PC-O11D XL can fit is a 360mm cooler so you would need to change your cooler to the Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD Display Liquid CPU Cooler. Other than that, everything else looks good. I might change the 140mm fans to 120mm for a cleaner aesthetic, but that's just my personal opinion......

All Corsair AIO coolers will come with pre-applied thermal paste so you don't need to buy separate.
Are you sure that's the case you want? The glass front one look cool but the glass prevents airflow so they're hot and not in the good sense. Consider a "mesh" or "airflow" model since you're putting in a 3090.

@magarity Thank you for the recommendation. I wasn't completely sold on the lian li case so I'll try to get a case with better airflow.

This is the build the I'm planning now and I'm hoping that it will be better for airflow. The plan is to replace the fans that come with the case. I'm hoping to place 4 120mm fans in the front and 4 120mm fans on the side. One 140mm fan in the back of the case. I'm also planning on using the iCUE H170i ELITE LCD 420mm liquid CPU cooler once again as I believe it fits with this case.

@dlhayes Just a suggestion but if you like the look of that case but you're worried about airflow, you can get the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO, which has an optional Mesh Front panel kit for better airflow. To be perfectly honest, the original Lian Li O11 Dynamic case has really good airflow if you properly setup up your fans.

@Lambdaben I am a fan of the way the lian li cases look, but I'm concerned with cooling problems as I've heard both the I9 and 3090 tend to run hot. Do you believe there will be a noticeable difference between the original build and the modified build in terms of cooling/temp control?

Do you live near a Microcenter? They have all the cases on display. The 7000D is a bit of a monster size case. I have a 5000 Airflow and there's plenty of space even with custom loop, never mind just an AIO. The i9 12900K can only get up to 240W if overclocked for long periods. A 420mm AIO is a bit on the silly side. I suggest a 5000 case and a 360 AIO. Unless you just insist on super sizing it.

@magarity unfortunately I don't live near a microcenter and will have to drive a fair amount to get there whenever I order this pc, but if you believe that I can keep the 3090 and I9 sufficiently cooled with a 5000 Airflow case and a 360 AIO then that would be more than fine. In this case, I just want whatever keeps the gpu and cpu cooled the best.

I have a Ryzen 5950X (240W TDP max boost) and a 6800XT (300W TDP max boost) in a 5000AF and it works great.
Put a 360 AIO's radiator in the top with fans exhausting, 6x120mm fans in the front as intake, and you'll be all set.
