Best Home Router

Looking for a new router and this is a bad design but the router will sit at one end of the house. I do have a 80' Cat 6 network line ran through the attic to the other side of the house so I can put in a second router attached to the first one. I currently have the Linksys Velop 2 router setup, but am unhappy with it, hardwired speed is 30mbps, but router speed is less than 5mbps, always! Thoughts, Ideas? Thank you.

Hello @Tiahuana, Thank you for joining the MicroCenter Community! Now how far apart are these devices and what is the range you are trying to get coverage for? I know the Linksys Velop is a mesh system so you may need to get more nodes/satellites and set them up between the original devices. Also if you are looking to run ethernet connections throughout the house, you may get better results using a network switch like - https://www.microcenter.com/product/414581/tp-link-tl-sg105-5-port-10-100-1000mbps-gigabit-desktop-switch
