best motherboard and CPU upgrade options?
current motherboard is an MSI 760 GMA https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/760GMA-P34-FX/Specification (dimensions are 9.3 x 8.1 x 2.2 inches) so my question is what is a good motherboard similar in size to this one that will fit in my PC case that is also compatible with modern CPU's? i want to try to upgrade to be able to play modern games at 4k but if that's too costly (around $1000 is a bit too much) then being able to play games at 1080p at 60FPS consistently is good enough. power supply is 750watts I believe and graphics card needs to be upgraded as well but I'll get to that later. RAM is 8GB would rather not upgrade that but I'm assuming I'd have to. thanks in advance!

You just need to find a board with the same form factor. Your current board is a Micro ATX, there are going to be tons of options for you. Now, with regards to the RAM, you would be running DDR3. If you're upgrading to a new AMD Ryzen processor or Intel, it's all DDR4 now, so you would need to upgrade the RAM as well.
