Worked fine for about 6 months. Then received an error message "printer off line". Tried everything to remedy the problem, but nothing worked. Is this something that can be fixed or is the only option to return it to the Micro Center store? Also, is this a common problem with the 6455e's?

Can I reserve an HP 6455e printer until they are in stock at the store, then bring the 6978 and exchange it? If so, can you explain how to do it? The 6978 box has not been opened. Would appreciate any help.
