Completed first build. Have two issues I need help with
I recently completed my first build. (Specs below). I am unable to get the fans to be seen my MOBO and controlled (though they still run) and get the RGB to change (even though they are on). I also cannot get my samsung 870 EVO 2.5 to show under my disk drive.
Specs:
Case: Lian Li 011 Dynamic Mini Snow White
MOBO: ASUS Z590 WIFI Gundam Edition
Processor: Intel I7-11700K- Running Windows 10
GPU: Gigabyte 3070Ti Eagle
RAM: TeamGroup 32GB (2x16) D4 3200
Storage: Crucial 2TB P5 plus PCIE4 M.2 and Samsung E 1TB 870 EVO 2.5 SATA
PSU: 850W gold FM
AIO: NZXT Kraken Z63 White
Fans: (9x) 7x LIAN LI SL120 and 2x LIAN LI SL140 white
Additional: LIAN LI ARGB STRIMER Plus
So the RGB on the fans is supposed to be controlled by Lian Li L Connect through a controller. However It is never recognized and cannot control the RGB. It is also supposed to control the fans and the Strimers. I was able to get the strimer to be controlled via Armoury Crate for RGB but still cannot get full function in lighting effects. Any ideas? I have tried everything from Lian Li website I could find.

Good afternoon@zmander
I do apologize you are having issue with you new system. for the rgb and fans, is the controller connected to the motherboard with a usb cable going to a usb header on it? also for the for the ssd have you tried changing the sata port. depending on where the m.2 is connected to, it could be disabling the port it is connected to. also for this you have the sata power connected to it as well?

Greetings. To add on to this, if it's a secondary drive not being seen in Windows, you need to partition it to use it with your PC. https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/3289/how-to-initialize-and-format-a-newly-installed-secondary-drive-in-windows-10 (Steps are identical for Windows 11)

@TSKevinG thank you for taking the time to reply! The controller is connected to the MOBO. I will double check the header but I believe it is connected to an ARGB header as spec in instructions. So the fans run and the RGB are on, just cant control either of them. What is interesting is that I got the Lian Li Strimer controller to be read by the MOBO but cant for the fans. L Connect doesn't even recognize its own controller. @Ian was able to provide me with an awesome fix for my secondary drive. I was unaware I had a few more steps in order to get it working. I appreciate the help with that @Ian.

You're welcome for that guide, it is very easy to overlook that on a secondary drive!
Does L Connect give you an error message or anything similar?
