As a current university student, having a PC that can handle my tasking schoolwork programs as well as being able to run all the games I play (and want to play) would be a huge game changer for me. Being able to smoothly run the games I play with friends and family would be an awesome upgrade! Having 2TB of storage will help me to tore all of my personal and university video projects, as well as boot up applications and games much faster!

This is my first gaming PC build. Last time I built a PC, it was right around when PC parts were spiking in cost due to the supply chain issues, so my build was mainly just to replace my aging laptop and get me through online school and handle some programming. Because of that, my current build has an RX 550 2GB in it, which as you can imagine, doesn't run games very well. This was fine with me though, as I mainly just run light games, like Minecraft. However, this build would allow me and my sister to be able to play some games, as she has been wanting to play more demanding games with her friends every now and then. This build would allow me to have the performance needed to handle heavier development workloads, multiple virtual machines, etc, while also handling her gaming needs, while I'm not using it

I configured this particular PC build in the hopes that it would not only play the latest released games with ease but also for comfortable content creation: G.Skill - Ripjaws V 32GB (2 x 16GB) for comfortable multitasking, PowerColor - AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT for smooth gaming, and Samsung - 980 Pro SSD 1TB to take advantage of PCIe 4.0
-
the biggest thing for me about this kind of build is that it allows me a modest upgrade into a truly modern mid-tier system, which will allow me to give my current old parts rig to my wife so that she can have her own gaming pc for the first time!

Hello, I wanted to build a PC to help my dad in his job he has a Thinkpad he is working on I would like to surprise him with a new one but don't have the money for it
Thank you

This my build, I could really use a new computer that can handle gaming and 3D modeling. Thanks for the chance!

I was going to try to rebuild my old pc (high school 10 years old) this week but then I saw this contest on Instagram.
I have a msi 785gt-e63 board with the amd phenom 3 processor.
Originally I was going to buy an SSD hard drive, atx case and Windows 10

I selected the GeForce 3050 because I am familiar with Nvidia, picked 64GB RAM for high memory access and the 4TB M.2 for the fastest and biggest storage.

I haven't been able to afford a gaming PC since I'm a graduate student, and I've been missing out on gaming with my friends. I'd love to have this great PC with these fantastic parts so I can finally join them!
-
I picked the most expensive ones because more money means more better :)
-
I configured this with 32 GB RAM (non-RGB, since I don't care about it), the nVidia graphics card, and the fastest SSD, the 2 TB drive:

This is a really cool barebones kit. I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn how to build computers as this is really easy to set up while at the same time having some room for customization of the most essential parts in a desktop. The kit I put together is for a high end computer that will take care of anything from basic tasks to more complicated and hardware demanding ones.

Hi! I'm an aspiring aerospace student at the University of Michigan, and this upcoming semester I'll be running a ton of computational fluid design(CFD) for my project team(MASA if you wanna check it out!) . My current pc is nowhere near being able to handle running CFD, so usually I'll have to walk ~20 ish minutes daily to go to a computer station to use their computers for CFD. This build would save me so much time and be so helpful, hence the emphasis on storage instead of a better graphics card. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder-asus.aspx

If I could win this build I'd be able to play games with my friends instead of just begging them to play Old School Runescape with me. I'd really like to try out some of the newer games that they play. It's a huge amount of storage between the 1tb HDD and the 2tb SSD that I selected. My current PC is outdated Intel and Nvidia components, so I'm not sure about AMD processors or GPU's but these both seem like great components and fast ram.
-
I could certainly use some upgrades, I've been using the same system for years now. I picked these parts since they seem to be the best option.
-
This is a really quality pc that I would use as my new system. I could game great at 1080p. I am currently using a free core 2 duo system from my school.
-
I really want to get into pc gaming and this could play any game thrown at it.
-
When I build PCs I focus on value. I want each component to give bang for the buck. Yes, one could build a faster machine by spending three times as much and post impressive results in benchmarking, but I always feel like the better mark of a good build is the cost per year. This build here, I predict, would last a solid five years before a video card would be required to continue gaming. Not a bad ratio.

Like others, I was unable to post an actual hyperlink even though I've had a Microcenter account for years.

My work pc is getting pretty old and this would be a sick upgrade.
-
This would be my first desktop pc and get me into pc gaming.
-
I would love to get a pc because I do not have one. It would be fun to get started with a good model and upgrade path.

I picked parts to make a good gaming pc for my needs.

I want a nice pc that I can play games and work from home on, the MicroCenter pc builder allows me to customize my own pc.
-
If I win this pc I will be able to continue my job by working on a nice pc for the programs I run.
-
This PC I built is made for more of a casual gaming experience, the Radeon GPU is a nice GPU for this application. The ram is RGB so I had to pick that.
-
For ram they are both clocked at 3200mhz, I would surely go for 16gb, it is enough for most, if not all games other than some crazy simulator games.
For gpu I'd go with 6600xt, which is the sweet spot for gaming, solid 1080p gaming while can do some 1440p entry gaming, only $50/$60 more compare to the 6600/3050, the performance lead is definitely worth it.
For ssd, the 980 pro is the absolute champion in the pcie 4.0 nvme drive, but I myself don't need that much storage and willing to settle with 970 evo plus 1tb.
-
This barebone would be perfect to swap my GPU into a new build. My current build has a mix-match of brands between the GPU (ASUS) and Motherboard (MSI). I'm unable to post a link atm.
EDIT: Here is the link:

I think it's time for me to switch for Mac to Windows. With this new PC I'll be able to play the latest games with my friends over Discord. Thanks Micro Center for doing this giveaway!
