I don't believe this board has a BIOS option to turn off the RGB. You can disable it via software. Mystic Lights should be installed on your system. If not, you can download it here: http://www.powerspec.com/support/files/Mystic_Light_Z690.zip
You can also use MSI/Dragon Center and set the RGB to off. Let me know if you have any issues. I've tested their latest BIOS and I'm not having any issues with their RGB SDK. If you install MSI/Dragon Center over Mystic Lights that can potentially create issues where the underlying SDK won't install properly, but we can help you fix that as well. Please let me know what's happening with the RGB software in the OS.

Ok so uninstalled all msi and msi sdk reboot downloaded msi dragon center installed missing all but one page for dragon center , found video this is a common problem followed this procedure as per MSI still missing pages to msi dragon center , only one page in msi dragon center available. Uninstalled all and msi mdk at this point. I do know that the bios has a led check box on/off but that is only for the cpu cooler rgb and it is operational with mystic lights. So I have exhausted hours on this and guess I will just leave it as is, everything else works fine and I can change the rgb effect from buttons on tower.I have redownloaded msi center only to view cpu temps ect and be able to ramp cooling fans up if i want to and that does work. also msi after burner, not for over clocking but just to keep an eye on cpu gpu and frame rates during games.
Thank you for your time.

Please follow my instructions from this post: https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/9996/downloaded-then-unistalled-dragoncenter-which-deleted-mysticlight-now-i-cant-control-my-rgb
Then try to reinstall either mystic lights or MSI Center and see if it'll work correctly.

Did as you asked still status que. Only cpu rgb responds all other rgb work off buttons on tower only. I do have all selected in mystic light. which wire would I have to pull wouldn't that shut them off?

That means the controller on the case isn't synced with the board. Keep pressing the "M" button on the top of the case until the color or pattern match the CPU cooler.
To answer your question. Yes, you can disconnect the RGB. Fan power and RGB are two separate connectors. Sounds like the software is working though. Once you sync the RGB controller up, you should be able to toggle them all off in software like you have before.

OMG you got it all rgb now being controlled through mystic lights even off. Except for video card rgb logo but I can live with that.
Thank you for your help.

Mystic Lights will only work on an MSI card. But you can download the RGB software for the included Nvidia card and disable that separately. Let me know what build your system is and I can help you locate that.

Its a Powerspec G440 with rtx 3070ti card.

What brand is the card?
-
sorry it doesnt tell me what brand but when i run dx diag it says Nvidia as manufacturer
-
Can you take a picture of the card through the side panel? We used a few different models on the G440.

You have the ASUS TUF card. Can be controlled via Armoury Crate: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/14Utilities/ArmouryCrateInstallTool.zip
