I have Windows 11, and want to STOP using OneDrive and go 100% to DropBox.
I've read a lot about OneDrive and how steps must be followed in sequence to do it properly so it doesn't delete the files from your PC! (What a terrible process, but I digress)
Is it better to first "unlink" OneDrive on my pc? (or, on OneDrive.com?? Or, to "stop backup"? Will either prevent the files from seemingly deleted (but rather hidden and you have to move them back to your PC) ??
Not sure I am clearly describing this, so please ask for any clarification.
Thank you!
Greetings,
We do have a guide for this, the steps should be same for Windows 11 if you have that. https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/200-how-to-pause-unlink-and-uninstall-onedrive-in-windows-10
If you have files actively stored on OneDrive, and they are not being stored on your PC, you would have to download them back to your PC at any time since they would still be on your OneDrive account through the OneDrive website/app.
