Restart issues with G714

  • I got an open box PowerSpec G714 this month and the no warm reboot issue happened from the start. I verified the 1M6 BIOS was installed from the store. Tried the RAM testing and just like OP the A stick had no issues, ran a full day without any blue screens and was able to reboot normally. Testing on just the B stick has a fairly stable system but only cold boots work, a reboot will lead to the power on for the system but no display. Tested in the same RAM slot. Is there a support option for just a DIMM replacement or should I bring the system in for service?

Yes, we can do that. Though first I would retest on our 1MC BIOS: https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/13613/powerspec-am5-agesa-1-0-0-7b-optional#latest

That has the updated AGESA firmware and has resolved many memory stability issues. Though if one module is showing warm boot issues and the other isn't, this is not likely. Please provide a picture of the white label on the RAM module.

An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
