Good Evening All,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to address the elephant in the room here. I have always admired MicroCenter as a company and their desire to maintain an outlet for tech enthusiasts. However this nonsense with the Charlotte store has to stop. The radio silence, lack of information and quite frankly the mistrust spreading due to avoidance of clarity is concerning

Honesty is due as to what's going on, what the expectation is, and planned path forward. 

The current status is turning off their customer base and risking failure before even a beginning. I do not want that. Microcenter does not want that. So PLEASE just give us some contextual honesty here...

I am really excited about the NEW Charlotte, NC Store, BUT you don't have any info about WHEN? I also have a question about this intel bundle: Intel Core i9-12900K, ASUS Z790-V Prime WiFi DDR5, G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB Kit DDR5 6000, Computer Build Bundle

I see it's pickup only BUT I don't see why you can't toss it in a box and then charge to ship it? Also can I order it and you will hold it until the Charlotte store opens IF its not going to be late summer or something?

Unfortunately, we would not be able to offer reservations for the store that is not yet open. We do offer shipping on some items and that can be set up directly on our website. At the top of our https://www.microcenter.com/ website, if you select "Shippable Items" next to the store icon at the top of each page, you can arrange shipping. If it says "in-store only" it cannot be shipped.

Thanks for the update! Wish there was a way to get that bundle. Maybe I can locate those items some other places. Be glad when Charlotte store opens anyhow.

Should be opening relatively soon. Don’t recall if there’s an exact date, but it should be right around the corner.

I'm glad to hear you are excited for the store to open, at this time there has been no promised opening date that I'm aware of so I'm not quite sure what mistrust and "radio silence" you'd be referring to here.

We have had a store page for the store stating "Coming soon" on our website, and once any more direct updates are made available, they will be as listed as such on the main website page: https://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/charlotte.aspx On this page it appears you can also sign up for an exclusive store offer coupon and based on the Indianapolis opening, store emails will be sent once an opening date is announced directly to your email as well!

I'm sorry our Community forums would not have different information to provide as already shared. When an announcement is made for an opening date, it will be posted to the website. We would suggest following the website for any updates.

I've been w/o a local microcenter since I moved to CLT from ATL. I've already been organizing an opening day celebration since the announcement of our upcoming store. I'm at the point where we need more information because people have to travel in order to be present. I've even driven by the store in the hopes of acquiring more information. if you actually had a fan club i'd be the president. please let me know what opening day is. Seriously adults have to schedule and spring is going to be here soon so no longer "early" 2024

Good Evening All,

There was a promised time frame officially provided  to the media by MicroCenter as of June 2023... which stated "Fall 2023". This promised date was then pushed to "Early 2024". Now it's clearly being pushed again.

My point is there is no harm in updating your base as to not turn them off in frustration. Even if delayed... advising us of such is literally less harmful then silently saying nothing.

I will continue to be flabergasted as why companies proceed with anti-transparent practices. It is literally not helpful and costs them money via customer sales. MicroCenter isn't a conglomerate... they are a smaller company. They should preach transparency like their business depends on it.

As a fellow Charlotean I am honestly embarrassed by this person's entitlement. I look forward to having you guys in Charlotte whenever you open since I currently drive 4 hours to see you guys.

Keep up the great work and I will be there opening week for sure. We are excited. To the rest of Charlotteans that exist understand that building a new store is not always a smooth process and delays can and will happen. Just be patient and relax.

Looks like the opening day was announced a couple days ago on Instagram (at least that's where I saw it). It's opening on May 10th!

I received an Early Access for the 8th and 9th of May. How do I prove I got this? Is there some kind of Early Access Guest List? Can I bring my grandson? When I tried to register for the 128Gb flash drive a message popped up that said "Sorry, there was a problem processing your request." Now what?

I'm sorry our Community forums would not be at the store. I believe for this you would just need to show up during the times mentioned in the email but any details should be as listed in that email about the store. If you have signed up for a flash drive coupon you should get that closer to store opening to redeem in store from my understanding.
