What's the latest BIOS for a G447? I've had one for about a week and have been getting "overclock failed" messages when resuming from sleep. The only overclock setting is the XMP profile to set the memory to 6000MHz. Before returning I wanted to check if there's a newer BIOS version that should be installed. The current version has a 3/2024 build date.
Thanks!
-
Latest BIOS is AM6. Is this happening on every wake of the system?
-
Unfortunately not since that makes it difficult to reproduce and triage. So far it only occurs when it’s been asleep for a couple of hours.
-
Also what would AM6 look like in the BIOS version number? I’m at work so I can’t check but it was something like E7E06IZ1
-
It's the exentension. Search for system information in Windows and it'll show the version there. E7E06IZ1 is the name change for the board on our custom BIOS. Should be E7E06IZ1.AM6.
-
Thanks - that's the BIOS that's currently installed. Did another sleep/wake round of testing and did manage to reproduce the overlock error. Then disabled XMP and did another round of sleep/wake testing without hitting the error. It might be the memory sticks aren't completely stable with XMP @ 6000MHz.
-
Sounds like it. You're encountering a warm boot issue. For our testing we do 10 passes of memtestx86, minimum 200% on HCI running all threads, 10 cycles of sleep and 20 reboots on several systems. But you can always find an IMC that's a little outside the range. Your on the edge of stability, it can be tweaked to stability. What's your CPU SA Voltage running at in the BIOS?
-
I realize I am a bit late to this thread, but was wondering what the latest BIOS is for a G442? The newest version of the MSI BIOS has Intel Application Optimization for 12th Core Intel processors, and I would like to utilize that feature if possible, due to some crashing I am experiencing in certain apps.
-
Disregard.
-
With XMP enabled, CPU SA mode is Auto and the voltage value is 1.244 volts.
-
I'd suggest 1.28 and test again.
-
1ME, I can upload it on Monday. I'd assume you're on 1M9.
-
Is it possible to get 7D25vAH for the G443? I'd like to be able to try Intel Application Optimization but for a 13th gen apparently it's only supposed in that most recent release.
Thanks!
-
Yes, we can do that. I'll start on it this week, testing on the latest version of Windows. Between HLK, fixes and customization requests to MSI, memory testing. The process takes about a week.

@PowerSpec_MikeW
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help. You are correct, I am currently on Version: V1.M9 with a Build Date of 03/03/2023. -
Attached 1ME. This is meant for models utilizing the MSI Pro Z690-A DDR4 WIFI board only, NOT the MSI Pro Z690-A DDR5 WIFI.
Instructions to flash.- Press 'Del' on startup to enter the BIOS.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+T and confirm to enter Advanced Flash Mode.
- Select the BIOS file and confirm the flash.
- Once the flash completes, re-enter the BIOS and enable XMP.
-
@PowerSpec_MikeW Thanks for the BIOS file, I was able to update successfully. Any recommendations wrt Smart Fan mode? Following the update, my fans seemed much louder until I enabled this setting, but I'm not sure if it has any deleterious effects.
-
Check the mode for the header where the fan controller is attached. Should default to PWM. If it's DC, change it to PWM, otherwise it'll run at 100%.
-
All testing passed. Just waiting to get the customized BIOS from MSI at this point. Shouldn't be much longer.
-
This is only for the MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI DDR5. Do NOT flash this BIOS on the MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI DDR4.
Instructions to flash.
- Press 'Del' on startup to enter the BIOS.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+T and confirm to enter Advanced Flash Mode.
- Select the BIOS file and confirm the flash.
- Once the flash completes, re-enter the BIOS and enable XMP.

Hi, I have a powerspec G476 using an MSI Edge Wifi z790, can I use the latest BIOS on MSI site? or can you give me the latest revision? would it cause any conflict installing the one on MSI website?
-
You can use the latest one and always go back to ours. I'll be working on the latest one as soon as I have the time and space.
-
Hi. I flashed my MSI motherboard with the latest firmware, not realizing I wasn't supposed to. Now my case fan speeds are always running at max. Please provide the motherboard firmware for PowerSpec G472 and include any other steps to restore the previous settings. Thank you!
Motherboard: MSI PRO-Z690-A-WIFI
-
It's easy to fix. Go into the BIOS and select Hardware Monitor. Select the fan header and set it to PWM. The default BIOS sets DC on the fan controller, it's something we customize in ours.

Hi, I just tried a long overdue bios update on my B940 (the BIOS I had was from October 2022… E7D25IZ1.AM9) with the latest DDR5 update from above (E7D25IZ1.AMG). However, the Advanced Flash Mode gives me the error stating "This BIOS is not MSI BIOS". Is there any way around this validation?
-
No, it has to verify it's a valid file. I would download direct here:
Extract it to the root of the flash drive. Could be a corrupt download.
This is our main thread for BIOS updates specifically related to the Intel stability issues:
There will be a new BIOS coming soon for our boards with the 0x129 Microcode once available.
-
Ok, I just had an idiot moment - I was trying to load the zip, not the unzipped bios file 🤦♂️. Everything works now, thank you so much!
-
What is the current bios for the g448 and does it fix the intel 14gen issue?
-
-
When should we be expecting PowerSpec 0x12B microcode Bios for G472?
