Powerspec G910 Blue Screen None Stop
Hi guys, second day with my new purchase. The PC would be running blue screen even at restart. Or sometimes just during opening up an app. It doesn't seem right at all, what could be the problem? TIA!

Sorry for the issues with the new PC. Please run bluescreenview so that we can see what's causing the BSOD:
That'll tell us where to look first.

There is a problem and we're aware of it. We're waiting for a firmware update to address the issue and expect it soon. I'll provide more information as soon as I have it.

Western Digital has as firmware update available via their dashboard app: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/31759/~/download%2C-install%2C-test-drive-and-update-firmware-using-western-digital
We are working with them and testing.

Results are positive, we'll have confirmation Monday. After flashing the firmware update, I highly recommend powering the system off and disconnecting power for 1 minute.

I already returned the unit. Nobody at Microcenter knew about this BSOD Issue and windows and western Digital played hide the ball for too long. Once I see the fix working Ill buy another PC. Thanks for the update.

Units are pulled right now. We'll be replacing the drives entirely on all units in stock. I'll have more information Monday. We apologize for the trouble. This is a combination of a drive firmware and Windows compatibility issue with a specific OS build. The issue appeared after the product launched.

Hi, i'm having the same problem with my powerspec g910. Can't even get into windows sometimes without it blue screening and starting over 10-20+ times.
How would I go about getting this fixed? I bought it on October 10th, and it says i can only return until 11/8.
Should I just bring it in and they will fix it or give me a new one or something? Its been happening since day 1 so I only have a couple games installed and nothing else.
But what would be the best way to go about this? I dont see the g910 on the website anymore.
Is there a fix that is 100% because I dont want to go passed my return date if its going to continue giving me problems potentially later.

I did not see your message here. Likely it could be a firmware issue. Please see this article:
You want to update the firmware on the WD drive. We'll be pushing the update out tomorrow or early next week through windows update. You can use the WD dashboard right now to fix this: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/31759/~/download%2C-install%2C-test-drive-and-update-firmware-using-western-digital

Just to update everyone else here, the confirmed fix is the 281050WD firmware for the SN580 2TB. All units in the store have been updated. This included the G909/G910 and a specific range for the G478 and G448. All other systems will not receive the problematic feature update until updated. I'm working on the automatic update right now.
