PowerSpec G454 losing power and restarting when waking from sleep
I bought a G454 late on 11/20/24. The setup went well and everything was worked fine that night and I shut it down. The next day 11/21 I powered it on and everything was fine again until I tried to wake it from sleep mode. All the lights turned on and everything started spooling up and 2 seconds later everything shut off for a few seconds and then it booted normally. The next time it went to sleep and I tried waking it the same thing happened, except this time there was a POP and the computer shut off and would not turn back on. I took it back to Micro Center that night and they replaced it.
The next day 11/22 I bought an APC UPS to help regulate everything, set up the PC, disabled fast boot and changed both hibernate and sleep settings to never. The computer worked fine 11/22-11/23 without going to sleep. Today 11/24 I put the computer to sleep and tried waking it and THE SAME THING is still happening. The computer is shutting down and rebooting normally. The UPS is showing that the PC isn't requesting power so the battery backup doesn't kick in. Is this a PSU issue? BIOS?

We do a 20 cycle sleep test and along overnight sleep test on the units in testing. I would try the following:
- Bypass the UPS just for one test. See if it'll work after sleeping.
- Disable XMP in the BIOS. Check for a memory related cold boot issue.
I'll look up your config and test tomorrow.

I know you are the expert but I was too nervous to bypass the UPS since I cooked the last PSU without it (if it helps or not I'm not actually sure)
I disabled XMP and have done a 10 cycle sleep test with no issues. Also, 5 cold boots with no issue either.
It appears disabling XMP has resolved this issue for now. I will do an overnight sleep test and report back tomorrow.I chatted with a sales manager this evening and he offered to make me whole if I wanted to return this PC too, but I figured I may as well see what happens. They graciously extended my return window so if there is anything else you would like me to try, you may have to explain it to me, but I am more than willing.
Thanks again Mike!

Let me look at our golden sample unit tomorrow and I'll let you know what I see. If it's memory related, unfortunately the memory controller is a variable, but we can stabilize it.

@PowerSpec_MikeWOvernight sleep test was successful. Had no problems this morning.

Thanks for the update. I've been testing our unit all day and I'm not having any similar wake from sleep issues. Are you familiar with HWINFO64? Please post a screenshot of the sensor voltages if so. If you need directions, I can provide that.

@PowerSpec_MikeW I got blue screened while in HWINFO. It also showed 11 unsafe shutdowns in the summary. Here is the screenshot of the sensors page

Can you run bluescreenview so we can see that last BSOD that happened on the JEDEC memory profile?
Please highlight and screenshot the top BSOD.
-
What's the bottom part of the screen showing?
-
It's showing a lot
-
Well, it kind of showed us everything, so the system really has no clue what the cause was. It's just instability. Has this happened at anytime outside of HWINFO64?
I'd make a free memtestx86 and run it overnight. See if picks up anything in 4 full passes:
Preferable to enable XMP again before doing this.
