Newly Built PC Won't Post

Hi guys, I built a new gaming pc recently for the first time and for about a week it worked fine for gaming and schoolwork but all of a sudden it won't post?? The pc will turn on but it won't post for some reason. I've tried taking out the gpu and putting it back in, I've tried testing the ram sticks by putting them into each slot one by one, I've tried power cycling the pc, I've tried a different monitor and different HDMI cable, I've checked that the HMDI cable was plugged into my GPU and making sure it was the only video cable, I've tried taking out the little battery on the motherboard and putting it back in, I'm just really at a lost at this point because all the advice I've searched up on google and the microcenter tech forum I've tried from what I can tell but it still won't post??
Components:
- NZXT H710i Case
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600x
- MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI Motherboard
- EVGA 650 BQ Semi-modular Power Supply
- MSI RTX 2060
- G-Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 2x16 32gb RAM
- Samsung 970 Evo 500 GB
If anyone has any advice please let me know I'm trying to avoid having to spend money on getting the PC diagnosed if I can fix it myself because I already spent a huge ton of money making the PC and I'd prefer not to have to spend more. Thanks guys!

Hello @Lucas_B1
I see you have performed some steps that are also included in our no post guide but I recommend doing some of the extra steps as well; https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/2818/tech-article-how-to-troubleshoot-a-newly-built-pc-that-will-not-post-boot-power-on.
A few things to also try is eliminating the monitor being the issue by connecting that HDMI to another HDMI source like a Cable Box or Game Console. You can also try using the DisplayPorts on the GPU as well if the monitor supports it.
Just to confirm, the system DOES turn on and remains on, just nothing on the screen? -
So the system will turn on, the fans run, the rgb works and everything, but the monitor will show "HDMI 1 No Signal" then go into sleep mode
-
What are the EZ_Debug LED's indicating on the right side of the board? They're just above the 24 pin ATX.
-
I checked the EZ_Debug LED's and they flash briefly while the pc's turning on but once it's settled and the fans are running quietly rather than extremely loudly the EZ_Debug LEDS all turn off. They all flash from top to bottom then stays briefly on CPU before they all turn off
-
@Lucas_B1
System sounds like it's POSTing then. Sounds like a video output issue. Have you tested different monitors? -
yeah I tried different monitors but they all say no HDMI signal for some reason
-
@Lucas_B1
Regarding the debug LED's, you said they all go off. Do you have something to boot to? If not, the boot debug should remain illuminated. If you do, then it indicates the board POST's and you should be in the BIOS. So we follow that assumption. You ruled out the monitor. Next components to rule out are the HDMI cable and the video card. -
I tried out different HDMI cables and it still didn't work, not sure how to rule out the video card though, I had the "No HDMI 1 Signal" error before and I managed to fix it whenever it happened by taking out my video card and putting it back in but that didn't work this time.

@Lucas_B1
Unfortunately that means we're going to need to test with another known working GPU. Are you able to use a GPU from another PC? -
I think I can take apart my dad's pc and use his gpu, I'll try that then get back to you guys, thank you so much for the help so far though, your customer support is incredible
-
Hey guys so I tried taking out the gpu from my dad’s pc but it’s too small so I can’t even plug it in to test whether the issue is my gpu, what would you recommend I do at this point?
-
@Lucas_B1
Your dad's GPU is too small for your computer? Or are you trying to use your GPU into your dads PC? -
My dad's gpu is too small for my pc, I currently have an rtx 2060 msi whereas he has this super low profile evga gpu and the problem is when I unscrew an access port to put in the GPU so that I can access the HDMI port and stuff, his GPU is too short to reach the actual place where I put it into the motherboard if that makes sense if it doesn't let me know and I'll send a photo to try to demonstrate what I mean
-
I think a photo would be most helpful. I'm having difficulty picturing this in my head. Apologies.
-
No problem, I'm currently in school so I'll take a picture once I'm done.
-
So yeah what I meant was in the photos you can see that when I try to put the smaller GPU in, the thing on the side is too short to plug in, and it gets in the way when trying to plug it in
-
I see, it is a low profile card and wouldn't fit with that case. It is possible to build the PC without the case and you should be able to use your GPU there however it may be a lot of work to remove the motherboard and other parts from the case. This however would be a good test. Another thing you can try is putting the 2060 into a different PCIe slot just to see if it is a PCIe slot issue,
-
Yeah I tried putting it into the slot below but it didn't work then either
-
When I find the time I'll try to disassemble the pc and test it outside the case and see if that works
-
@Lucas_B1
Yes, it's a low profile card, with the low profile bracket installed. Generally they're include a full size PCI bracket as an option with the GPU. However if this worked outside the chassis, you've confirmed the issue is with your GPU. Test your GPU one more time while it's outside the chassis. From there, replace the GPU.
