So I have noticed that I am getting audio static and popping when using chrome to play audio from videos while playings games. I am using a TV with an HDMI cord for my monitor. I noticed that when I am alt-tabbed to the browser window while the game is in the background is when it happens most often. It sometimes happens when I am focused on the game. I do not notice if I have this issue while my headphones are plugged in
Hello @laufangseo and thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. What is the make and model of your computer?
Do you notice the static and popping when using another browser such as Edge or Firefox?
How long has this problem been going on?
Last have you attempted to update your audio card drivers in device manager?
Been going one for a while. It comes and goes. I have not tried other browsers so I can check that (only use Chrome usually). I have also noticed the popping sometimes when I went to test the audio in of the windows Sound settings
My computer is a custom build. here is the link to parts

Hello @laufangseo, After testing the browser another thing I would recommend trying is using an external set of speakers or headphones instead of the tv audio through the hdmi cable. You can change the playback devices by following this guide, https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/92-how-to-change-the-playback-device-sound-levels-in-windows-10.
I do not have a set of external speakers but I plan on getting some soon
Does the issue occur with headphones?
