Return without physical CC

Purchased a laptop with a CC in my apple wallet. I am travelling and do not have the physical card. An associate told me I would need the card in order to initiate a return. Is there any way around this?

Greetings, our return policy states "If a credit card was used as payment, the credit card must be present at the time of return. Credit card refunds may take up to 5 business days to process the refund." This would be handled directly in-store. Looking into this, I do see you contacted our chat service just before store closing yesterday and a request was sent to store management to see if they can assist you with your request.

I am aware of that section of your return policy. Technically, the charge was made to a credit card. However, the physical card was not present at the time of purchase. Due to the the above-mentioned circumstances, I was hoping MicroCenter would work with me. I have not yet heard from management. At the time of purchase I mentioned I would be utilizing Apple Pay and that I did not have my CC on my person, and I was not informed that I would be unable to make a return if need be.

I am seeing a return was made on 7/6, Are you still having an issue with this return?

Yes, I was not refunded for a portion of the taxes. I've been in contact with customer service. No response for some time. Note I had to drive 8 hrs roundtrip to return the device per your return policy. Being overcharged greatly adds to the overall negativity of this experience.

Hopped on to say that Micro Center still has not contacted me in regards to improper reimbursement for a return. I have been reassured for what, three months now that management would be in contact within "two to three days"?

Let me continue by mentioning that my circumstances were, unique (but not really). However, I met all the requirements to receive a complete refund for my return. I have spent an unprecedented amount of time trying to contact customer service. I drove hundreds of miles to return a device as Micro Center would not allow me to do so without my credit card on my person (but would allow me to purchase it without said card-- and yes, I know it is mentioned in your return policy that the card needs to be present).

Long story short, DO NOT feel secure when making a purchase with Micro Center. And if you find yourself needing to get an issue resolved, do not hold your breath--they will not make any effort to honor their agreements.

Greetings, I am very sorry for the delay, this was sent to our finance team on August 5th so they could work out the sales tax difference between states/locations and send you a refund check. I am seeing this has yet to be taken care of so I have had my management once again reach out to our finance team for assistance.

I've reached out to our finance department on this matter. Mailed checks usually take 3 - 5 business days. Sometimes when going through USPS, that can take up to three weeks.
