New Build, father/son duo for $1000-1500 budget.

Options

Hello.

I have a 10 year old, who has been obsessing over youtuber's playing computer games. He like bannerlords, a medevil command/conquer game. He's been asking to get a gaming computer to play it. After some reflection I think it may be fun to build a gaming pc with him, and maybe stimulate his interest in tech (i have no knowledge, interest). I have set a budget for 1000-1500 for a pc build. Would like some guidance on building an gaming pc that would be straightforward for an illiterate father and son. Would like to have increased theatrics wtih the case/tower and more lights the better.

I think an intel build we better, so I don't have to worry about overdriving the motherboard.

I have looked at building a bundle through micro center, but it appears that you can't get some components without going into the physical store.

Any guidance would be recommended.
