Confusing shipping on online order?

Hi. I don't mean to sound rude with this post, but I don't understand the shipping process. I ordered an item with 1 day shipping and my confirmation email told me that the product would arrive in 7 days. Is the confirmation email just in place as a reciept? Will there be a tracking email with an updated arrival date? I understand that the product page said that it could take 5-7 business days to ship, but I ordered 1 day shipping, under the assumption that the 5-7 day shipping was free. 

The arrival date setback is a mild inconvenience to me, it's just that it feels pointless to have spent an extra $15 on "next day shipping" to actually have it shipped in 7 days.

Greetings. Selecting next day shipping is not the same as next day delivery. You would still have to account for the estimated processing time that is listed on each item on our website. If the item states it usually ships in 5-7 business days, once we have processed it and FedEx picks it up, it will have the expedited next day shipping that you selected.

Right, today FedEx picked it up as they sent me an email. They're now telling me that it's coming on Monday. That's way past the next day.

As stated on our website, "Two Day and Next Day delivery days are Monday through Friday. This excludes deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays."

Hi I wanted to ask since I assume you posted this update on the same day you ordered, at around what time did FedEx email that they picked up your order?

Hello, I doubt this would be the same from customer to customer. FedEx deliveries/pickups would typically be 9am-8pm, but will vary based on your area, order type etc.
