Price match rules
I bought an Asus ax6000 router for 349.00 yesterday. Today it is advertised at Bestbuy online for 292.00. The Microcenter near me is an hour away. I did an online chat requesting a price match and the person told me they could not because the closest Best Buy to Microcenter would not have it in stock for three days. I said I was not buying from that store but Best Buy online has free two-day shipping. He told me no. No Pricematch. So my otpions are to purchase from Bestbuy online for 60 dollars less and wait two days and then drive an hour to Microcenter to return their product. They would rather lose a sale and inconvience me than price match a major online competitor. Guess I know who I will not be shopping at anymore. (which they appear not to care either way about).

Hello @Glenroebuck and thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. We're sorry you feel that way and we understand where you are coming from. Our policy for price matching is built to price match our competitors for merchandise we have in stock. How our system works, to price match a competitor's price Microcenter also has to have the same item in stock. If we don't have it in stock, we can't price match because we're not selling it at that time. There no known information for when the item will be back in stock.
Now exceptions can be made and only by the store Management Team. A Manager, if approved; could authorize for a price adjustment for you. But its up to the Store Manager. If your ASUS router purchase at Microcenter was done on a credit card (excluded AMEX), then you'd have to come to the store to have your card re swiped. All refunds or adjustment for purchases done on a credit card (excluding AMEX) have to be re swiped (see link below).
Let us know if you'd like for the Store Management to call you, give them 2-4 days for call back. Or just come to the store and speak with one of the Store Managers, they'll work with you.

You had the router in stock, just refused to price match the web price of best buy.com because it was not in stock at the closest Best Buy to the Microcenter. I indicated I was going to purchase it online for the 292 dollars as advertised with free 2-day shipping and was still told no, no matching. So I ordered it from Bestbuy.com. I can wait two days for 57 bucks price difference. I will be returning the router unopened to Microcenter (an hour drive by the way). Probably my last trip to Microcenter since I cannot be reasonably sure I am getting the best price.
