Think I want another M.2 SSD?
I think I want another 1000 GB M.2 NVMe SSD to put just my games on, should of done this when I had MC build this for me. Anyway, my board, msi mpg z49- gaming plus, has 2 SSD slots although the heat sinks are different shapes? What concerns should I have, I think I can do myself, have to pull GPU because it sets over it? Is it good idea to buy exact same, WD Black Sn750 NVMe SSD? Does MC still price match? It's not a real necessity but my drive is half full and games seem so big anymore thought it might be good to do.
My build:
Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 10600K @ 4.10GHz 95 °F
Comet Lake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1799MHz (18-22-22-42)
Motherboard
Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS (MS-7C75) (U3E1)
Graphics
Sceptre M25 (1920x1080@165Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (EVGA) 97 °F
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDS100T3X0C-00SJG0 (Unknown (SSD))
Thank you
Chuck

Greetings. Looking up the motherboard specs https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z490-GAMING-PLUS/Specification The m.2 slots are identical.
You can use the same drive if you'd like but any m.2 should work just fine. Our price matching policy can be found at https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/6-do-you-price-match

The heat shied in the empty slot is much different shape than one above that I wanted to make sure.
Would you recommend same, or something maybe better?
I guess heat behind my card wont make a difference?

Oh one other question. After install and boot up, I wont have to do anything like format or go into bios for any reason will I?
Thanks again

MSI has some information about installing those in the manual: https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/E7C75v2.1.pdf
You can use any m.2, I'd pick one based on the storage size you are looking to add, not necessarily brand.

As you are not changing what your OS is installed to, no.
You will need to partition the drive in Disk Management. https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/3289/how-to-initialize-and-format-a-newly-installed-secondary-drive-in-windows-10
