Recurring screen flickering issue
I've had this issue with my monitor for a while now where the bottom portion of the screen flickers for several minutes after I first turn on my system. It only does this after I've left my PC off for more than a couple consecutive days, and the flickering is worse and/or lasts longer if my PC has been off for longer periods of time. For example, if I'm out of town for a weekend, the first time I turn on my computer, the screen will flicker like this for about 60-90 seconds before gradually going away completely, and the issue will be limited to the lower 25% of the monitor. I went on vacation for 8 days, and when I turned my computer on, the flickering covered over 50% of the lower part of the screen, and it took almost 6 minutes to dissipate. It also came back the next day, but only lasted 30 seconds and covered just about 10% of the screen. I recorded a video of the flickering here.
I've tried removing and reinstalling my graphics card drivers, and this monitor has been connected to my computer through 2 graphics cards and 2 CPUs, and the issue showed up on both upgrades. It's not a critical issue, but it's an annoyance I've dealt with for a couple years now.
Monitor model: AOC Q27G1WG4 27" 1440p 144Hz curved monitor.
Current CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
Current graphics card: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC Rev2.0

Hi,
I recommend checking that both ends of the cable are secured properly. Next, I would try using a different HDMI cable and see if the problem persists. If the monitor has another video port, I would try that port as well.

It was a great idea, but that didn't appear to fix the problem. I tried two different DP cables and one HDMI cable (I usually use DP with this monitor), and none of them fixed the issue.

Since that didn't work, It has to be the monitor. You've already tried everything else. The panel itself must have an issue.

So, I have an update on this, but still no solution. I upgraded to the RX 6950 XT from the RTX 3070. The flickering still occurs. But I did find out that there's no flickering at all when I'm in the BIOS, but as soon as I get to Windows, the flickering starts again. If it is the panel, it appears to have something to do with the signal it's receiving from Windows.
It's honestly a minor inconvenience (while it does seem to be worsening, everything goes back to normal after a few minutes and repeated daily use), and at this point I'm probably less than a year away from a monitor upgrade, so I'm losing interest in finding solutions. That said, it is a mystery I hope to solve at some point.

Have you tried the monitor on another system? Hook it up to a laptop and see if it's the monitor or the system itself.
However from the behavior described, it sounds like the monitor is going. It may only be doing it in Windows because the OS is outputting a higher resolution than the BIOS.
Might be time to upgrade it, or just get a new one and use it as a second monitor until it goes.
Also if it's a mobile DJ unit be sure not to leave it outside, as any condensation that forms can potentially damage components.

That's a good idea. I'll have to try that next time I'm away from my computer for a couple days. And no, it's just a gaming monitor, so it stays indoors all day.

Oops, my bad. I mistook the streaming mixing console as a DJ one.
Anyway best of luck, and post back if you figure out what the issue is.

Haven't figured out what the issue is (yet), but I did upgrade my primary monitor and switched it over to my secondar monitor. I'll test it out over the coming weekend and report back here.
