Why isn't the 3 year limitation posted on the website for GPU trade in?

Checked GPU trade in on my MC account, and it said my ASUS GTX 1080 was ELIGIBLE FOR TRADE IN and stated the value. Next it said to schedule an in-store consultation. I go for the consultation with my GPU in hand only for the clerk tell me my GPU cannot be traded in because it is over 3 years since purchase. NOWHERE on the website does it state this time limitation and I (and probably many others) have just wasted half an hour of my time. I've been very loyal to MC since 2012 but it seems like my dollars will go elsewhere even if it's to the foreign overlords that own Newegg.

After looking into this with the proper team, there is not a 3 year limitation for this, if the website is offering to offer a trade-in and the card is in working condition and passes the store's testing, you should be able to proceed with the trade-in. Just came back from my local Micro Center and was told the same thing. My GTX 1070 is not eligible for trade-in, because I purchased it longer than 3 years ago, despite the trade-in page telling me otherwise.
