Hi!
I would like to suggest Huntsville AL for a new store location. We have a pretty tech-savvy town here with little options in terms of electronics stores. We are heavily growing with like the country's third highest technical workforce. Companies are swarming in.

Micro Center would be a fantastic fit in Huntsville.

    Hello @Michael_Blake

Thank you for posting on the Micro Center Community!  Thank you for providing us a location you think a Micro Center would be great at!  I don't really have the pay-grade to make the decision of opening up a location but I can send this to the people that are and see their thoughts and opinions!

Yeah totally agree, not many electronic places and I think Micro Center would do really well here.

I also support this!  As one of the fastest growing cities filled with computer engineers, FBI headquarters moving here, space force, and more are making this city grow faster then ever... Prime location for a business is now.

Also close enough to Nashville, scottsboro, Atlanta, and Memphis that people would drive to Huntsville, guaranteed.

I agree the local businesses would support the store 100% percent, the only option they have now is BestBuy and Giga Parts and neither measure to the inventory and store quality of Micro Center. Huntsville is definitely a technology sleeping giant and would be a great location for Micro.

Just created an account to share my support for this as well. Huntsville is one of the fastest growing tech hubs in the country. Out Best Buy can't even keep up on the inventory side. https://statetechmagazine.com/article/2017/09/how-did-huntsville-become-fastest-growing-tech-hub-government

I don’t have too much to add to the conversation besides I was saddened to see we didn’t have a micro center in Huntsville, I was hoping to purchase the super meat boy gfuel, but sadly would have to drive out of state. Would certainly be cool & convenient for Micro Center to come to Huntsville tho!

Huntsville was just featured in US World and News Report as the #1 place to live in the US.  We are at 500K and will likely pass Birmingham. We are a Hugh tech community and could use a Microcenter here.

There's always room for growth! We'll make sure our real estate team knows we're needed in Huntsville!

A micro center would be amazing here and looking at a comparison to other locations that curretly have storefronts we could more than support it.

    OP here,

Still holding out for our beloved Micro Center.

The wait has been excruciating. My poor PC is missing the newest and greatest hardware, including fancy water-cooling components which Micro Center can provide.

Our city is growing at an extraordinary rate, but the emptiness in my heart too grows in parallel. Only a Micro Center can save my poor little heart. Please save me.

TLDR: Huntsville, AL NEEDS a Micro Center. :)

We do see quite a few requests for a location in Huntsville, Alabama, so I'm sure it's definitely on our radar. We'll be sure to share this with our real estate team to hopefully nudge them in that direction!

Another request for Micro Center in Huntsville, AL checking in.

With all of the military, contractors, literal rocket scientists, FBI, Space Force (coming soon!), etc., there's a veritable cornucopia of tech nerds all flush with disposable income from government paychecks that would love to spend a bit at a local Micro Center.

There's even a great location available! A Burlington's just moved locations, leaving a large storefront available for lease. This storefront is right off of a major thorofare in an established shopping plaza. And it's very close to Redstone Arsenal, as well as Madison, a large population in itself.

And while that storefront may be a bit bigger than most Micro Centers, just think of the nice, wide isles that could exist.

Patiently waiting for the grand opening announcement,

    -Paul

  • Another person in Huntsville here.

I've shopped at microcenter before in California when I was younger and now days with work from and needing to rely on my computer, having it break is a nightmare waiting to happen with how hard it is it get stuff shipped without paying crazy inflated prices. As Paul said, there are a lot of large store fronts sitting empty still today and this area is growing at an insane rate. I've lived in the area just over two years at the moment and it's already seen visible growth with no indication of slowing down.

  • +1 for this! Huntsville is a huge area for engineers and stem fields. Would be a huge location. Plus all of Tennessee and Mississippi would travel in.
  • +5000 Made an account to add my support to a location in Huntsville. Would go over really well!

Just here to show support in wanting a microcenter 📍hvs
  • Huntsville Alabama DESPERATELY needs a microcenter. When I tell you there are ZERO (good) options for computer tech, I absolutely mean it. When I moved here from Atlanta, I realized that is one of the things I took for granted.

Here to show my support for a Huntsville/Madison, AL location. As many others have stated, we have no good options in a town absolutely filled to the brim with young engineers, spare income and a need for techy hobbyist equipment.

I'm a small business owner here in town that does IT/Software work. You have no idea how much business you would have from the IT materials contracts I have.

I want to help in keeping this conversation alive.  The recent rapid growth in Huntsville has made this area a focal point for first-to-market businesses in Alabama.  The Huntsville region is poised to become the largest area in the state, and with limited PC hardware retailers in the area, I’m sure Micro Center will do very well, especially attracting people from all over the Tennessee Valley, especially since 1.2 Million people live within a 50 mile radius of Huntsville’s center.  This number will only continue to grow as Huntsville is consistently one of the fastest growing areas in the entire country.  I hope your real estate team takes this into consideration in Micro Center’s next expansion plans.

I too registered just to post here. I have lived in HSV for most of my life. I still remember the days when Circuit City, Best Buy, and CompUSA came to town. Gigaparts is a pretty decent store (and the owner is really nice as I know him), but it's nothing like a Micro Center. A Microcenter in Huntsville would pull people from other states 100mi any in direction that don't have one.

I know there are development criteria that every business looks into when expanding, adding locations, etc., and I would be interested to know what type of acreage is required since I have several parcels of undeveloped commercial land in the area in various sizes that are available.
