What do I do about high Hot Spot Temps?
I have a PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 6800XT. I have had a few minor problems over the years with it, but it has been mostly an amazing graphics card. However, within the last 6 months, my pc has started completely crashing while playing somewhat demanding games, or doing too much multi-tasking. This started with CS2 shortly after I started playing it this year, but has since happened on other random games such as It Takes Two and Black Ops 6.
Most of the time it reboots automatically within a couple of seconds. Sometimes it is partially powered and does nothing when I press the power button. I end up having to toggle off the power supply, then back on and it will let me power on the rest of the pc.
The reason I pose the question is the graphics card's Hot Spot Temp, is because I started monitoring my components with my AMD monitoring app and noticed that during those demanding games, the hotspot exceeds 100 degrees C. It gets close to 110 but at that point, I'm not paying attention to the application and my computer crashes. Another factor to potentially consider is that I bought this 1000W PSU from the states, but I currently reside in Japan. The PSU states it can handle 100W 50Hz power, but my friend is adamant I should replace the PSU. Please give me any advice!

Sorry to hear about the issues that you are having! It is certainly possible that this may be related to the PSU however I would try a few things first if your can. Here is a guide to run a DDU on your video card:
Once you run this you can reinstall them from the AMD adrenalin app. Do you clean your PC often as well? Have you noticed any dust accumilation on the card? -
Sorry for the delay on this update. Tried the above recommendation shortly after the suggestion, however I haven't been using my pc in a few weeks for other reasons. I just booted it up today to try my new purchase of Enshrouded with some friends. It did the same crash and automatic reboot after the 3-4 hour mark… what's next? 😓

Hi! After the DDU did you update all your drivers again? Have you noticed any temperature issues with the computer at all? Id recommend trying to check the event viewer as well to see if any specific event IDs are kicking back

I did update all the drivers again. Just be redownloading the AMD Adrenaline software. I'm not too sure if there has been a history of temperature issues, but I have been using this PC with no issues for 4ish years. Also, not sure how to check for temperature issues besides the AMD Adrenaline software performance tab showing the temps. Nor do I know what to look for in the event viewer…

Here is a guide that can help with how to check event viewer:
I recommend sorting it by 'level' and this will show the most critical errors
