New Linux Build on Ryzen 7 3700X

Depending on what kind of budget you have, and what features you're looking for in the board, my recommendation would vary. I included the Gigaby X570 Aorus Elite Wifi because it has a good VRM for the price point and wifi available if that's a requirement. If you want a lot of troubleshooting features, such as no-CPU-required BIOS flashback, a digital POST error display, etc... you'll want to look at the more mid-high range boards, such as the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master and ASRock X570 Taichi. 

The Corsair RMx series of power supplies are known for running quieter and the fans have controllers on them so they only kick on when your system reaches a certain power threshold. It's also 80+ Gold so you have the benefit of good power efficiency. The case is just a standard ATX mid-tower that we actually use often in our own Powerspec branded machines, and since 3600 is the sweetspot for RAM on Ryzen 3rd gen CPUs I included a kit reflecting that. 

The video card is about as basic as you can get. If you think you may need higher graphics performance in the future, then you'll obviously want something a little more powerful, but if your only requirement for video card is "I need something to display on my screen" the GT710 is as simple as it gets. 

The cooler that comes with the CPU is actually pretty solid, comparable in performance to something like a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. It would even allow for some light overclocking if that was something you were interested in. Even with CPU intensive work it should be adequate if you're not overclocking, or the work you're doing in particular pushes CPUs temps high. But I would probably test it out first and see because a decent upgrade over the stock cooler will probably cost at least $40~ or more. 

The NVMe is one of our brands and while I haven't personally used one, I have several associates I work with who do who speak to them being quality drives. I personally have two Crucial SSDs in my own system that I've had no trouble with. The WD drives are newer but Western Digital has always had a reputation for making quality hard drives, so I imagine they should be reliable with the SSDs as well. 

That said, Samsung is generally considered to have the best SSDs on the market right now. 

As for RAM, G.Skill is a quality manufacturer and I don't think you can go wrong. Crucial and Corsair both are other quality RAM manufacturers.
