Hi, I just purchased a new PowerSpec G167 PC a couple days ago and each time it has gone to sleep, when it wakes, whatever I had open is now closed and I get the AMD Bug Report Tool window telling me the drivers have crashed and if I want to report it. I have each time, 3 times now. Is this a known thing with the AMD Radeon cards? I have an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT Graphics Card in here. The 3rd time, I could no longer open a program I was about to use. So I restarted and then all went well. I also was thinking the PC was updating Windows to 11 but it has not yet and it is pending. Has anyone had this problem too and found a fix for it? Here is more info on the system if needed:
PowerSpec G167
Device name DESKTOP-35IRK52
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics 3.90 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
Windows 10 Pro
Thank you for any help you can offer,
Anna Mendoza
Hello @MsManna
Thank you for posting on the Micro Center Community! Have you tried downloading the latest 6600XT Drivers? You can download those drivers here; https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6600-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt.
Another thing to try is disabling Fast Startup; https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/246-how-to-turn-fast-startup-on-or-off-in-windows-10
Okay, I will try this. The PC finally updated to Windows 11 now and still doing the same thing with whatever I happen to have open. So I am going to update the drivers. Thank you for the links!
You're welcome, please let us know if you have any other questions/concerns.
I am back again! Had to trade in the previously mentioned G167 due to it not booting after installing a new heatsink fan. I have the same PC but had the Tech guys at my Micro Center store install that for me (before I took it home). PC is running well, just like the one before, but now it is crashing when I go to wake it up. I have to restart the PC because nothing is responding when I try to wake it up. I have already updated the graphics card drivers before this happened. Any other ideas on what this could be? There is one thing I did differently this time around too. I enabled a setting that the AMD Adrenaline software notified me I needed to turn on. So I am going to disable that and see if that makes any difference. Otherwise, I am really loving this PC so far.
So I attempted to go in there and turn off that setting, and it's telling me that I have the wrong drivers installed. I did install it from inside the AMD software though. It told me there was an update and I installed it from there. So let's see if a restart fixes that. It did on the last PC.
Thanks for any help! 😊
Disabled the "Virtual Super Resolution" and this time the PC woke up without any problems. So maybe I figured it out myself! Hope this helps someone else!
😁😁😁
That is good information to know. Glad to see you were able to get that resolved, please let us know if you have any other questions.
