Okay and once i'm in the BIOS?
-
Command prompt restarted but got stuck or gpu didnt turn on. This time BOOT debug light just remained lit. Normally when waking or even sometimes when I boot, the debug lights will all flash, turn off, and then nothing. Its just a 50/50 chance i actually get to windows
-
Okay, so the system does POST fine, your issue is with the video output, so we know where to look. Since the IGP is disabled, it would throw a VGA if the card weren't detected. Do you have another monitor or TV you can test with?
-
I want a 4090 RTX or 5090 RTX
-
See if your location has the G481 for a 4090. For the 5090, hang in there.
-
I've seen a few posts regarding the powerspec G447 issues with the overclocking error upon waking from sleep mode. Is there a known fix at this point? Got mine a little over a month ago and I'm getting these errors more and more frequently.
-
Which BIOS version are you on? You can check from msinfo32.
-
That's the SMBIOS version. Look at the top right of the next line up.
-
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends International, LLC. A.M9, 10/28/2024
-
That's our latest BIOS. No instability, only happens when waking from sleep, correct? Also, you didn't upgrade the RAM, this is the factory configuration?
It's a cold boot issue, which happens. We test extensively, but every IMC is a little different so it's possible to see something like this when you build hundreds of units. You can tweak your way out of it. I have that platform running some testing overnight. I'll look at tomorrow and give you some voltage adjustments.
-
@PowerSpec_MikeW no Ram upgrade. Typically only happens when waking from sleep but there has been times where I have left my computer on and after a while I come back and it's just sitting on the bios screen.
-
Sounds like you're seeing some instability. Run bluescreenview and see if it has any logs:
-
@PowerSpec_MikeW Not really sure what I'd doing with bluescreenview but it doesnt show anything
-
I'll get back to you tomorrow with some settings to try.
-
Sorry for being late. I was out half a day yesterday and it's a bit crazy. I didn't get a chance to look at the board. Could you post some screenshots of your BIOS or HWINFO64? I need to see where the related voltages are for you. Mainly System Agent and VDD2.
-
this what you need?
-
Check the sensors page.
-
Not seeing it. I'll check it in the morning on that platform.
-
Please screenshot your BIOS on these values:
-
SA looks alright. VDD2 is a bit high. Let me test some settings in the morning.
-
Alright, lets drop the VDD2 a little bit. Press enter on CPU VDD2 and type 1.1. Enter. F10 to save and exit. We'll start there, if it's still a problem we'd push SA a bit.
