Any news?
-
On my Monday call they said it's in validation and hopefully by the end of the week.
-
Did you hear any updates since Monday?
-
-
Could you please post the most recent G719 firmware here?
-
Latest for this board is C3.16.MS01
-
Would you please post the latest bios for the Gigabyte B650M C v3-Y1 motherboard, from the PowerSpec G521?
I tried the one from the Gigabyte site, however, it gives an OemID Error. Version F31a is installed. Gigabyte shows F33b as the latest. -
We can look into, it will take some time for qualification. We had issues with the F32 BIOS.
Regarding the OemID mismatch. You can get around but you have to use flashback.
- Copy BIOS to FAT32 flash drive.
- Rename to Gigabyte.bin
- Connect USB port labeled BIOS.
- Turn the PC off.
- Hit the Flashback button and wait 3-5 minutes.

Any news about the TB bios update?
-
I'm checking, still waiting.
-
Still in testing?
-
Just got it. I haven't gotten a chance to test it out in the lab. I will do so Monday, but here you go.
-
@PowerSpec_MikeW
I’ll wait for you to test. Don’t want to brick my system. Thanks! -
I'd be more concerned about performance or stability issues with the thunderbolt card installed, than I would be about bricking a system. I'll update you Monday.
-
I updated the BIOS yesterday. I was able to connect an external drive and two IOS devices and do backups on all of them. I haven't seen any stability issues yet.
-
Don't flash that. They neglected to add some customer voltage adjustments for the RAM I had originally requested. You'll have a bad time without some manual tweaks, which I can walk you through. I'll get it fixed.
It does work fine. If you want to go ahead with it, flash the BIOS. Go into the BIOS after the flash. Enable XMP. To to AI Tweaker. Set VDDP to 0.95 then save and exit. Asking ASUS to make this default behavior.
-
Were you able to verify data rates for file copying? I’ll make those tweaks when I get home. Thanks for all your help. I know I wouldn’t have gotten this level of support with other name brand systems! You certainly exceeded my expectations. Mike MEdit: I updated VDDP to 0.950V, but don't see an XMP setting to enable.
-
It'll change VDDP. It's AI Overclock Tuner. Set it to XMP I, then set the VDDP again.
I didn't push it to much. Just checked some external NVMe's on it. I can check it tomorrow with a file copy.

@PowerSpec_MikeW
did you mean set the over clock tuner to “EXPO I”? I don’t see XMP I. -
Sorry, yes. EXPO. They do the same thing.
-
Does this version of the BIOS support the TB4 card in any slot, or only in particular PCIE slots?
-
Updated BIOS with VDDP voltage fix for this system.
-
- Does the final version above have any changes we haven't discussed?
- Does this version of the BIOS support the TB4 card in any slot, or only in particular PCIE slots?
-
- VDDP changes automatically when XMP is enabled. You adjusted it, no need to flash.
- The bottom x16.
-
- There is no XMP for this BIOS, it is EXPO (In case anyone else uses it with the TB4 card)
- This BIOS is only for those with the TB4 card in the bottom PCIEx16 slot, correct. (It won't work in any other position.)
Thanks again for all of your help and support!

Recently bought a Power Spec G719 from Micro Center for my son as a gaming PC. I think I have all the drivers update via Windows 11, graphics driver updated, etc. However, it seems like when the system is idle for a while when my son comes back to use the system it seems to freeze up. Apps stop working, games won't save, then it ultimately goes to black screen and I can't do anything but reboot. Looking on the web it seems like there are some recommending updating the BIOS. A) How do I ensure I get the right BIOS update? B) How do I properly do the BIOS update? Appreciate any help!

There is a BIOS update, it specifically addresses an issue with Fortnite.
- Extract the B650M_C3.16.MS01.ROM file onto a flash drive.
- Reboot the system and tap 'Delete' to enter the BIOS.
- From the Tools menu select Instant Flash.
- This tool will scan the flash drive and find the BIOS. Click update or press 'Enter' and confirm.
- Once the system finishes the update, go back into the BIOS and enable XMP/EXPO.
- From Exit select Save Changes and Exit.
