@CrashAegis Rockville Store 2:50am check in, CPUs for people who have checked in: 5600x - 1 5800x - 1 5900x - 11
I would suggest showing up soon if you want a 5900x. 5800x and 5600x so far no worries but that could change closer to 5am. I heard 5950x will NOT be in stock here. This is also my 5 new people for 5900x update as the 10th and 11th just walked in.
FFX checking in, 29 people looking for.. 13 - 5950 (5 also would take 5900) 17 - 5900 02 - 5800 02 - 5600 04 interested in 3080' s if they get any. 45 degrees here at almost 3AM..
All this talk about the different locations... how about St Louis Park in the Twin Cities? I'm about 25 minutes away, thinking about cruising up there. Never waited in line for anything before... except for GTA San Andreas
I'm from Twin Cities and curious about status. Did you go?
About 12 people in line at the moment. I just got here. Nice night out!
BROOO!!!!!!!!! Thanks! I got mine pre-ordered on B & H. Bed time!
I've never heard of them, yet I see a lot of microcenters backing them. Worth the preorder instead of trying to run through the waves?
They are a NY based and have a very solid reputation. They are usually very good about cutting online preorders the second their guaranteed amount of items is reached.
For the sake of everyone knowing, this is the situation at cambridge MA as of right now (03h39am), there are 20+ people waiting, mostly for the 5900, followed by 5950, and a handful for the others.
I've been sitting here since 2h30pm, and I managed to talk to A LOT of associates, here is what I got:
- Official info is they will have every CPU, confirmed tl me by the official MC twitter
- Several associates mentioned NDAs, and considering that everyone everywhere else is super silent its likely cause AMD is likely keeping a tight leash
- Unofficially Ive had several employees telling me they have a good amount of stock, and some even suggested that for lower tiers camping wont be needed
- Everyone that let stuff slip was super positive about it, and everyone else kept super quiet
My advice is, if you want 5950X, you're likely out of luck. If you want 5900X get here NOW, if you want the others you can risk it until later.
Rockville location is now at 15 people in line for the 5900x, 2 for 5800x, and 1 5600x.
Damn, that update came in quick. I'm hoping that Best Buy will have some when they open. I'm about 40min from Rockville store, and 30mins from Parkville. I think I saw posts that Parkville had a good amount of ppl early.
I'm at the columbus microcenter right now. There was a car line started. So I hopped in it. Not really sure what the situation is, but I'm like 6th in line.
How many people are lined at dallas right now? I was planning on going early in the morning but if I have to go even sooner I will.
40 people in Dallas rn.
Any word on stock figures? I'm planning on coming right after work for a 5800x, ik most people will be going after the 5900x/5950x. Did any employees come by before they left for the night and let y'all know any info on stock figures? They did they when we were in line for the 3080 at Dallas.
anyone know if this BHPhoto preOrder legit? Like are they actually gonna ship from their first batch inventory? Only retailer with this option so far.
All info I could find about their pre-order system seems legit. I pre-ordered the 5950x. Hopefully the transaction gets fulfilled, if not I'll cancel and look elsewhere.
We're still in the low 30s at Paterson. Most want 5950/5900. We've been using a customer-run list, first come first serve, check-ins every hour on the hour, if you miss a check-in you get sent to the end. Everyone is hanging out in cars, a couple people leave to grab food between check-ins. Everyone is being very civil. None of that "100 people reserved and don't have to camp out" crap.

Generally B&H is good about closing preorders when their guaranteed stock is out. If they miss it then they notify you very quickly upon them opening, which will be in about 5 hours. The question then is WHEN they get their first batch. For the 5950x it is possible they don't get their shipment until later in the week when other stores get it sooner.
