Computer technician job requirements
I was looking to apply to a microcenter store as a computer technician. I was looking at the position requirements and saw that Apple ACMT and ACiT are highly desired but from what I can find, these certifications are no longer offered by Apple. So, what other Apple certifications does Microcenter highly desire?

I moved away from my nearest MicroCenter location, but I am still getting coupons
I used to live near the Denver Tech Center store. I now live in Stansbury Park, UT (about 500 miles away). However, I am still getting coupons (curiously, sent to my new address 🤔 ). The latest coupon I got is for a free 128 GB flash drive, and a free 32 GB flash drive for a friend. I would love to get in on that deal! Can…

PowerSpec G476 (5 mo. old) Crashing at Random
I am apparently having a similar problem to the one posted by Kap0604 last September: Was there a resolution to this issue? There seems to be no rhyme or reason to when this happens; the display goes black and the computer freezes, and my only option seems to be to shut it down and restart. When it happens, the fans in the…

It would be great if there was a Microcenter somewhere in the western NY area.
I wish Buffalo had more tech stores. Around here it is hard to go to a store to buy good PC parts. I know me and Sara aren't the only people who want a Microcenter in the Buffalo area. I am trying to build a new PC and there is kinda no store in Buffalo that carries the high-end graphics cards brand new. You would have to…

Charlotte NC
Good Evening All, I hope this message finds you well. I want to address the elephant in the room here. I have always admired MicroCenter as a company and their desire to maintain an outlet for tech enthusiasts. However this nonsense with the Charlotte store has to stop. The radio silence, lack of information and quite…

Are clearance/open-box items not returnable?
I tried calling my local Microcenter but no one's answering the phone. I bought a GPU that was on clearance/open-box a week and half ago. I'm contemplating returning it to upgrade to a higher model GPU. I noticed on the receipt that it has a "Outside Return Window" on it for this clearance/open-box GPU. Are…

Hard drives not replaced.
I want to advise the customers of "The Best Computer Store in Houston" that are far from the best. I paid MC to migrate data from my old desktop to a new laptop purchased this month. I planned to dispose of the old desktop but first planned to remove the hard drives. When I opened the unit this morning I discovered both…

Need feedback on my first build.
after a lot of studying and countless tutorials, I finally decided on the final version of my first PC build. Even though I feel confident I still wanted to check with the community and see if anything should be changed, I want this build to be somewhat original but not crappy. The parts I decided to use were AMD RYZEN…

My last build for a long time.
Processor, video, memory, and storage are to my needs. Expect AI models, databases, and Docker / podman virtualisation on Manjaro or Debian Linux within limits of proc/vid/mem/storage. Need advice on motherboard, cooling, and power supply - are these selections I have good?

Intel or AMD? I would argue AMD right now.
If anyone is looking at a new PC, I would strongly encourage you get an AM5 AMD system. Intel is changing sockets for the next gen desktop CPUs which means you will not be able to upgrade to new gens with a current gen motherboard. AM4 lasted 6 years ish, AM5 will give you plent of cheap upgrade options going forward, plus…

Critique my proposed build
I current have a 4-year-old Dell OptiPlex 5070 that I've outgrown. I decided to go the custom route for future expandability. This is my first build (may as well get the full experience!), so I want a case that's easy to build in. (Though I did have a lot of experience back in the day digging around inside IBM PCs and…

Need Help Choosing Parts
Hi all, I'm building a PC at Tustin Microcenter and would like recommendations for which RTX 4080 Super to get. I see options from Asus, MSI, PNY, GIGABYTE, etc. I see Aero, Strix, Ti, various suffixes. My computer is meant to be an all-around good, general use computer that is future-proofed for at least the next 5 to 10…

Bought to services that didn't work and want money back. What should I do?
About 3 weeks ago I went to Micro Center for a diagnostic because my PC was boot looping after a few days they told me nothing was wrong. I take it back home and in 5 days the problem arises again. I bring it back. After a few days, they told me I needed to reimage because the OS was corrupted and asked if I wanted a…

Can I run AT&Ts 1000mb cable straight into a Powerspec B745?
My router seems to be having problems reaching my computer. I have two cables from AT&T in the room. One behind the TV and one behind the computer, but I can't see if and where I can plug the computer one in. The computer has an MSI card, but it has two coaxial inputs.

What would be the best way to remove old drivers on a Powerspec G510?
I've got the driver compatibility message box at start-up about old drivers like ene.sys and MsIo64.sys. According to this other post (https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/12010/where-can-i-find-an-updated-driver-for-mslo64-sys), the drivers were related to Aura and RGB software. I don't use the color settings at…
