So i'm trying to restore an old pc for my mom and do some upgrades but the power supply doesn't fit in the case, so i want to buy a new one but i don't want to ruin the parts or anything, the power supply that doesn't fit is a 485 watt, would a 600 watt be too much or can i do 600? if 600 is too much could i use a 500 watt?

Hi folks,Do I have to have a 8 pin and 4 pin cpu power connectors from the psu to run a R5 3600 with PBO and XMP enabled?The hope is to eventually upgrade cpu and gpu. From what I've been able to find a 650w psu should be able to handle the load. However, the mobo may require the added 4 pin cpu power. Thanks for your help.
