They handed out 12 vouchers in Brooklyn, they only had evga cards for $1000

I'm at Secaucus. They said they would have them in store for purchase? And there is only one other person here but they are looking to preorder a PS5. I'll try to keep updates going but zero action this far lol.

BBY employee here: shining some light on what I know (take with a grain of salt) - today before I left the store at 4PM I was looking through our system. Not a single store in my state had cards, but the distribution center had about 20 of each cards. Not sure how many stores the dist center covers but that’s what I know. I searched for the cards as well in case they physically were not added into count yet, but neither my homie in warehouse or their manager seen the cards. 

Later at night I got a call from my friend who was helping in warehouse before close and mentioned they did get a handful in last minute but not sure if that’s true since my employee app still says we have 0.

Chicago Elston has about 30 people in line. The security guard said he heard last night they only had 12, but also said the manager should be here soon to confirm how many.

Probably 50 people at Duluth store, no clue yet as to how many cards are available.

Manager for Duluth store just came out and said he can’t make a list or do vouchers or anything and doesn’t know how many cards they’ll have. No organization to the line, people who got here at 5 AM trying to crowd out people who got here at 7 PM.  Just a mass of people at the doors it’s going to be chaos.

Update from ny here @ bestbuy i got here at 630am waited till 730am for an employee to come out and told me and another guy that they dont have any cards in stock for the morning. He said his system is not showing anything for the tri state area?? I dont get how bb does not have these cards on release day.

best buy was a dud no stores in nj got stock the guy was nice enough in the deptford location to come out at 730 and say he didnt have any and no store in 250. miles has stock

Its very strange that bb doesnt have any for release day in store. Either they arent saying nothing to keep lines and crowds away or they really are only doing online orders.
