Anyone know how many people are in line at Tustin?
-
Damn okay thanks @mrdoubtfull

Gooswa said:Wow sounds like they have no idea. Great communication guys. Why would I want to buy with you guys if you guys can't communicate? You would think the store managers would prepare for this kind of thing to get their message straight.

5 @ Sharonville

Guys, stock is gonna be fine afaik! I talked with an MC associate earlier and they said this will be an actual launch with cards not like nvidia. They prob have at least a hundred- two hundred cpus

Hyperflame said:I overestimated a bit, we have a list, 9 people want a 5900x, 4 want a 5950x, so far. But yes, I'm also surprised by the turnout.
Thanks for the updates!! I'll probably just roll out of bed early and head out. Got the rest of my new build ready for pickup -

Anyone know how many people already at the Rockville location?
-
3080nao said:LOL, if you want a ryzen 5900x or 5950x. GO now and wait in line before its too late ! Don't let the scalpers beat you!
-
qwertytheasdf said:hahaha, scalpers will be SOL once stock floods the market in a months time. CPU die yields are like 7x more on a wafer than GPU dies. Divide by 2 for the chiplet design, but still 3.5x more. I'm not as much in a hurry as I was for Ampere so I'll try my chances online if worst case comes to shove.
-
Also yea guys, obv maybe for the 5950x there might be stock issues bc its the highest bin. But I think for the more mainstream one's stock will be fine. (I feel its gonna be similar to 3070 launch (stock for 1-2 hrs after open)). Also yep, tsmc 7nm has wayyy better yields than Samsung 8nm

I'm still trying to decide if it's worth heading out at midnight to the Westmont store, or just checking in early morning to see how long the line is for a 5950x. I tried calling the store but their "hold queue is full" whatever that means

Anyone up at the MN location? think I have a shot for a 5900x if I show up an hour or so before open tomorrow?
-
Does anyone know how many 5900Xs the Duluth store has?

11 people lined up at marietta, roughly a dozen per model reported stock
