I needed a computer to excute my personal, business and gaming needs and this is why I selected the hardware and software for this pre-built computer. And I have to say the overall price was very reasonable for my budget compared to other computer retailers.

This would be my first Gaming PC. I always wanted a Pc build but I just didn’t know where to start. I finally decided to some research and I I found out this is the birthplace of all PCs.

If I had to build a "dream" PC, this would have to be it. No expense was spared, and it is way over the top! I am really impressed with AMD and excited to see how SAM works, so that's why I went with their CPU/GPU. Corsair is one of my favorite brands as well, which made it easy to build their parts into this machine.

Hey Micro Center, I love your stores because I have built multiple things from you before at amazing prices and they are working in amazing condition. This is a decent pc build I need for minimal gaming but more importantly, for my architecture course where my laptop can't even run the program without crashing. This pc build will change my life as I will finally be able to do my work without any slow-down. Hope I win, if I don't, I am fine with that too because there are probably other people who also need one. Thanks, Micro Center!

I tried to build something that would allow me to video and photo edit for a drone, do some gaming, as well as something that will last awhile so my son will have pictures and videos to remember me by unlike what I had with my father who notoriously avoided all forms of recording and who I lost long before I should have. Luckily there are cloud services as well as local storage nowadays though.

I created this build with some of the parts that I would love to have and build. I chose the Ryzen 5 3600 because of its cheap price, and it performs similar to the ryzen 7 and 9 CPUs. I chose the 5700xt for the GPU because I personally prefer AMD components, and already have one currently. These parts paired with 2x8GB DDR4 3600 RAM and a 250 GB 970 EVO+ as a boot drive would provide incredible speeds with quality textures. The NZXT H510 Elite is definitely my favorite case, and should cool my pc plenty with a kraken x63 water cooler and an extra NZXT AER 2 fan for exhaust and aesthetic.

Build Name: Trainer Red
https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=37f0dee9-7043-4ad6-9e1d-dc668b99d17f
I want to build a PC that would emulate one of my childhood's admiration.... Trainer Red.
This high-end gaming PC build is to represent that awesomeness of Trainer Red, the "Hero of Kanto." Imagine.... the monitor showing a wallpaper of a serious Trainer Red with his Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur. A gif of Trainer Red would be cycling through on the lcd screen of the z73 CPU cooler. And, the LEDs on the Corsair LED fans (and associated iCUE devices) splashing through the colors of red, blue, and green. This beast of a computer will take on any game without fear. The core components represents Red, from AMD to the Dark Hero motherboard. We have trained. We are ready. It's time to battle. Team RED!!! -

I choose this build because my dream is to be a streamer in the near future. I want to share my love of jrpgs and other games to others and have a fun time! At the laptop set up I am not now I'm not able to run the programs I want to as I also want to have a vtuber model! I'm grinding hard to I can make my debut soon but this would really help me! -
Just wanted something to help run Dota 2 and other steam games a little better compared to my current laptop.

I started by looking at the Intel Core i7 and AMD Ryzen 7, both with 3.6 GHz and eight cores. When I started looking at the motherboards, I checked back on the CPUs and found the Ryzen 7 I was looking at didn't have on-board graphics. Also the Intel processor 10700K Comet Lake 3.8GHz says VR ready--I'd like that capability too!
The 3080 GPU is good for machine learning per https://timdettmers.com/2018/12/16/deep-learning-hardware-guide/ and https://timdettmers.com/2020/09/07/which-gpu-for-deep-learning/ .
Since I'm dreaming, I put in two GPUs and three monitors: a big one in the center and two smaller monitors that can pivot 90 degrees so they should nearly match the sides of the central monitor. I chose a large power supply and a large UPS for plenty of expansion. I would have chosen a pair of 32 GB RAM modules, but I didn't see them in the selector. (It's better to get the largest modules possible at the start.) The 1 TB M.2 module would improve speed--it would be my first SSD. Two 4 TB hard drives provide redundancy, and I could do a RAID setup. I chose a case with a lot of room, and put in an optical disk drive for reading and writing disks and I could play my DVDs and CDs.
If I had to nudge the budget closer to reality I'd reduce to one GPU, lower the power supply and UPS capacities, and delete the displays to share my current two 19" 4:5 aspect LCD monitors instead.
(I didn't choose speakers or headphones, but right now it's really late and I'm going to have to go to sleep and dream ...)

I went with this build because I really want to update my current streaming PC set up, but also add some aesthetics that do have longevity, such as the rgb RAM and the Lian Li O11 Dynamic. I would've loved to add the 30 series card, but I guess that's just a hope and a dream at the moment

My Pc if I had the greens for it lol would have corsair because of my fanboyness, asus for the same reason and be able to stream every so often while playing at 1440p.

I put this parts list together and am looking for some advice. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=9d855ee7-3316-4d2d-aaf8-f7a892827aff My Budget is $800 - $1400. My goal is to run a successful stream using stream labs, to capture my game play onto twitch. The game I mostly play is League Of Legends ( perhaps I will try new games when my stream grows and get recommendations I like). ( League of Legends is not graphic intensive although I plan on trying other games not at 4k though). I have never built a desktop and have been trying to find the most efficient parts for this price range used for the activities listed. I do not fully know how to build a desktop myself but I will read and research into the subject, If I do not feel confident because it seems too complicated or intensely difficult I might just get someone else to build it for me. In the link I prioritized in this order: 1. CPU ( To run the commands at peak efficiency for gaming and streaming, thus I will not lag and have good fps). 2 GPU ( To handle to graphics of the gaming and video quality for the streaming smoothly and with good quality. 3. The mother board ( For built in wireless wi-fi is what I am currently using. I want decent ping and no packet loss. I want good communication through out the different parts, but I want to pay much less for this because it does not effect gaming and streaming as much as the first two. 4 Ram ( I can not have too little processing memory for gaming and streaming because it needs to run smoothly to to lag, but I do not need a lot more than required. 5. PSU ( I need enough power to supply to all the parts operating. This part I am more confused about and need clarification and more guidance for the best choice. I do not want to have to little wats, but I do not want to overpay for wats that I will not use. I am not sure but I think I read that, if you have more watts than used then your PSU runs more efficiently and saves power. I want to balance the watts between having enough to be safe and not damage anything and also saving energy, but also not over paying to waste money or power. 6. SSD ( I want fast start ups and boots to operate programs and the system faster, so I prefer SSD over Hard Drive. The storage I will use is very little maybe 2-4 games and streaming applications and lastly the internet, so a 500 GB SSD is more than enough. 7. The mid-tower case ( I got a cheap one with a design I like. Why? because it has a lot of RGB colored fans and has clear glass to see all the parts, the RGB makes the separate parts appear to stand out and more contrasting in a good way. To conclude, I want to stay in that price range and buy the most efficient and optimal parts by paying for the best money to power/processing ratio. I will use this desktop productively as in I am very competitive and serious in a fun and meaningful way when it comes to the games I mentioned previously which I want to stream. The dream is to have the best desktop possible with the reasons listed, so I can become really skilled at gaming and stream my experiences to share how to improve your gameplay and also to have fun and entertain a possible community of supportive followers. ( Also my nearest Micro Center is Chicago). Last question would be how difficult would this project be to be complete by myself with no previous experience building computers, and would it not be worth it to read books, guides videos and such to figure out how to properly build a desktop. If not worth it, would it be better to have someone else help me build it or the last option to get a prebuilt desktop for gaming and streaming. This means so much to me because I just graduated and have to work really hard so I want to reward myself with the best desktop I believe I happily deserve. Any help is tremendously appreciated !

This would be what I'd build today. Honestly, though, my current system is pretty great for a bit, and I'm more likely to do a similar build about next September... https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=52e962df-a8db-4aa5-9122-eeeac9371825

I have never owned a true gaming rig, and there's one game that I really want to be able to play: Star Wars: Squadrons. I'm dying to finally get a computer that can handle that; I just can't afford the kind of rig that would handle a game like Squadrons.

Lots of RGB because I like a flashy build, paired with the ever popular Lian Li case. Overused? Maybe. Beautiful, definitely. Would prefer to use a 3080, but good luck getting one.
Everything else is pretty standard, i7 with a water cooler, 32 gb ram, 1TB m.2.

This build represents what I wanted. I want a very high end build that can handle my graphic design rendering and content creations. I also like to game and have fun on my computer so this is my dream setup!

I actually built my first PC for gaming during quarantine and it was a great, fun challenge. I primarily use it to play games with my younger brother who's been using an old family desktop. My PC builder list is actually a PC for home which I would love to build together. Thank you -
I went with a mid-high end build that could run pretty much any game on 1440 resolution max settings reliably.

Thanks for the opportunity. I chose the cpu because I currently have a 2700x and it's been nothing but the best. Went with a 570 motherboard for future upgrade to another ryzen later on. I chose a big ram kit because I do some video editing and I'd like to be able to enjoy my computer while things render. The graphics card is a 3080. I hope to get my hands on a 3070 because good experience w nvidia cards but a 3080 would be a dream. I have kids so I gotta watch my pocket. I have a 2011 corsair case and has old school cable management. Been looking at nzxt cases but the 510 is more in my budget. But the dre would be the big one. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=82159793-e616-479a-9f32-ffd82b5d1023

A PC build so I can create worlds. Designed for Concept and Structural design projects in addition to streaming on twitch (Gray_Falcon) and making YouTube videos. I chose gigabyte as the falcon matches my streaming and YouTube name. Insanely fast memory to reduce rendering and encoding times. 6TB of PCI Gen 4 M.2 memory for fast access to my design files. Mesh case to keep my system cool while things are heating up and lots of fans to keep the air moving. Plus a massive 1600w psu to supply the needed power for 2 3090 gpus to churn out renders as fast as possible.

I spend a lot of time in VR so I went with a balance between GPU & CPU performance. NVMe is a must for the OS, and I went with a larger SSD for single player gaming. I'm on a Ryzen 2700x & EVGA 2080 right now, so I'd love to upgrade soon to prep for the higher-resolution headsets coming out!
