Everything on here is optimal for what I want to game at. Honestly, the most outrageous pick even more than the Asus RTX 3080 ROG Strix is the monitor . Though this is a dream pc build so what the heck -\_(ツ)_/-! This is Literally the last PC I would need for YEARS to come. If I win this contest I'd be a HAPPY BOY!!!
Good Luck To All.
P.S pst...pst... i'm going to win hehe -
My wife and I love to do charity streaming but we also have challenged our current system quite a bit. I would love to be able to upgrade our system to a more solid Ryzen build with a motherboard and graphics card to back it up. We've raised nearly $15k for charity so far and here's to doing more!

I went for a machine that reflects the current times. I went for a 10900K as it's the most powerful Gaming CPU you can actually buy at the moment. Plus it has built in graphics. As there are no GPUs available I thought this was the better option as you can then add one later. I also went for a small form factor build as it can be then used as a Media machine in the living room as well.

I've always wanted to do a white themed build. My current build has 2012 & 2014 parts. Last spring, I bought my dream Mid ATX case and I love it so much. I want to fill it with COOL parts for my perfect snowy ice theme. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=ada95969-a570-4716-98ff-d7fbd23bb5ac

This is just the core start of the 'dream build'. Many of the items are out of stock, and I'd want to see the case in person before I'd purchase and build. I like the amount of additional supplemental items to list such as case lighting, RGB cords, etc.

Since this is a dream PC I have gone all out of getting the best of the best to have a gaming rig that will run anything you throw at it. To start off I would be running the Ryzen 9 5950x and I would have dual 3090's FTW2 SLI with EKWB liquid cooled on a separate water cooling system and then a dedicated one for the CPU. I would put it in the table top computer case that is a sit/stand desk along with all the room needed for the cooling system in there. There are parts that Micro-center do not offer that I would have to get from EKWB to finish out the build for the plumbing. I would run dual M2 along with an SSD for backup of the system. Windows 10 pro over the home version just for the added features. I would also keep my Roccat mouse as Micro-center does not sell them and I love this mouse. I would go with the Samsung dual 32" 240 hz 1440p monitors. There would be nothing that I could not throw at this that I would not be able to render in no time flat. This would be able to be overclocked and the much needed power with the added power supply to run this system to its max potential. I will never get a systems running at this price but it is a dream system right
-
Is it completely overkill? Yes but if were talking about dream PC's this is about the max. Turned to 11 in every regard this PC would almost be more of a show piece!

I have to admit, I went a little crazy on this one. To start off, this PC runs a Threadripper (3990x) coupled with an overclocked 3070. Is it excessive? Yes. Am I still going to use it to play Among Us? Absolutely.
The rest of the build includes 64GB of DDR4, an 850W power supply, as well as 2 SSD's and a hard drive for a total of 5TB of storage. It is liquid cooled. I included case fans as well since, as someone else mentioned, RGB will always make your build run faster. If I ever come across $7000 of spare change, you better believe I'm going to be buying this from Microcenter.
Thanks for the contest! GL! -

With all the changes happening with technology this is my new dream PC. The past decade I have never been able to build a PC that could last for 5 year. From mining to covid I haven't been able to get the parts I desire due to high pricing and had to buy used parts. This build is fast, good storage and efficient for gaming/streaming/editing and will last over 5 years. I would love to have a 3rd or 4th gen ryzen with the major increases to their technology but I'm not that lucky. Anyway, I've been a faithful customer and thought I would try my shot at this. -
'Twas the night before Christmas and Hanukkah, when all through the house Not a computer was stirring, not even my mouse; The stockings and router were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there; The gamers were nestled all snug in their beds; While visions of water-cooling danced in their heads; And mamma in her 'cosplay, and I in my new headset, Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap, When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my gaming chair to see what was the matter (another internet outage?). Away to the window I flew like a flash-drive , Tore open the shutters and saw Amazon drive by.The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow, Gave an RGB lustre to objects below, When what to my monitor-blurred eyes did appear, But a miniature ITX sleigh and eight-core tiny rein-deer, With a little old windows-driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick (maybe delivering another Windows 10 update?). More rapid than overclocked chips his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, Corsair! now, NZXT! now NVIDIA and Vixen! On, Gigabyte! on, AMD! on, Intel and Blitzen!....“Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night!”

Here we go. I didn't go nuts but I would love a build that is small form factor so i can take it with me when i travel for work which is quite often. -

I chose these parts because they are great for gaming as well as streaming, school work and content creation. If I won the $1,000, I would put it towards this build and probably a new monitor. Thanks for doing this Micro Center! Merry Christmas! -

Although this build is completely unrealistic and was created out of my twisted pc fantasies, hence the name "Dream Build" I like to think of it as a symbol of endless possibility. I had quite a fun time making this list, as I added the craziest components I could think of. I imagined myself being in the presence of the battle station I was slowly building, part by part. A man can only dream of such beauty in his computer. And it is all fun and games until you realize the most powerful PSU cannot keep up with your system, It is at this moment that the pc enthusiast experiences true, agonizing pain. A man can only think of such power for so long until it begins to eat away at his brain. Until all he can think of are those FPS, those juicy, juicy FPS. Even if a single man possessed the facilities to purchase a system of this caliber, he too will be left in disappointment. Because in this world of pc fantasies, manufacturers get outplayed by sneaky scalpers. Leaving the wealthy consumer crying in his overly luxurious shower "Why Nvidia?! Why can't you just sell me a video card?!" he shouts up to the heavens, sobbing. The wealthy consumer is left with nothing in him, unlike his bank account. Which is basking in the glory of not being eaten up by the impulsive and unhealthy shopping behaviors of the PC enthusiast. The PC enthusiast must live on to tell the tale, the wicked tale of having a wallet full of money and a PC sitting at his desk with 1 generation old components.
In all seriousness, happy holidays everyone -
This is the current build I have been gathering parts for. I would have added a 1660 super but it is out of my budget. However, with a Ryzen 5 3600 I can wait another year to buy myself a better GPU and not worry about bottlenecking!

Middle of the road build. Very affordable but will still be good for gaming/steaming and should last for 3-4 years without any upgrades.

Nicknamed Durable Dan as I expect it to last many years and be power efficient/environmentally friendly.High quality PSU with the Seasonic Titanium 750W. The extra ~4% efficiency at half load will pay for itself quickly. CPU (5600X) is sufficiently fast (and power efficient) along with the GPU (3060Ti).32 GB of RAM for video editing.1 TB NVME drive for OS and applications.HAF case for transportability.Threw in a DVD/BluRay optical drive to watch physical movie library.Added a fresh UPS to it for protection.

I have always played on consoles and my two best friends switched over to PC. After a few months of showing me the benefits I have decided to join them. I am slowly starting to get pieces together and very excited to start the build. This was a blast building my “dream PC” and love going to micro center to see all of the options.

Hello! This is my dream PC. I'm actually 15 years of age, but I entered this contest, because I want to help my dad. He has been trying for a long time to build me my dream PC, but with no success. I live in Bulgaria and he lives in California. We only see eachother twice a year every year for a couple of weeks since he works there. That's why I would love to win your guys' contest so that we can fund my PC (I went more than double over the budget for the PC he is trying to buy me (1300$ without accesories)). He is coming home in Bulgaria for Christmas, but he knows he won't be able to bring me a PC as a Christmas gift. I hope you guys like my reasoning for winning this giveaway! Thank you for your time and have a great holiday!

Its time to build a new computer, I have a 4790 and its Dyeing, this would be my dream computer. -
This is my first pc build. I want to get into streaming but i really dont have the money right now. I studied all of the pc specs great for streaming and gaming. I also want to become a content creator. Ill use the pc for gaming , streaming, editing and school work. I think this pc build is pretty strong and will last me a long time i could also overclock the cpu. I also got a lot of RGB for that "boost of performance". Tell me what you
think. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=ac284321-7861-4cc1-a91e-0d8432d69991

I chose this build with a strong gpu/cpu in order to be able to both, game at high/ultra settings on some new releases (like cyberpunk 2077), and also to be able to work on my photography/cinematography when I'm not gaming! The 3090 will be able to handle pretty much anything I would play on my 1080p 144hz monitor, while utilizing both the frame rate and high settings! The cpu will do a great job speeding up my render times which could help me get my photos/videos out to costumers much faster! I went with an 850watt power supply because id rather be overkill then threading the needle! I decided to go with all air cooling for my rig because I'm not into water cooling, and the Noctua brand has some amazing air cooling for the price! I threw in 32gb of ram, because there's no reason for me to have more, and this is even most likely future proof for a good while. The ASUS z490 was a no brainer for me as well, and I do not need to spend the extra money on wifi because I am always connected to ethernet wherever I bring my PC. Lastly, the 970 EVO+ is crazy fast performance for the money, and at 1TB you cant go wrong! I actually would also throw in an SSD from my current PC just to hold games, and maybe some of the videos/photos I edit. I'm not a fan of having a hard drive to store the extra thing's as they're greater risk at getting damaged/corrupted, and super slow. As for keyboard/mouse/accessories, I already have great Logitech brand stuff that I got at microcenter a few weeks ago and would simply keep those , and I love my Astro A50's which I've had for a few years.
I just got into PC building this year, and I can already tell I'll be coming back to Microcenter a lot in the next few years. It's so fun walking in expecting to buy something small and coming out with a whole new build! Thank you, microcenter, for giving all of us an opportunity this holiday season, and good luck to all! -

Big upgrade from my 980 and 4790 -
I've never built a computer before. This is intended to be a computer for getting better at coding at home, so 32 GB RAM and only the GPU on the integrated CPU.

I currently play games on a laptop which is not meant particularly meant for gaming and this is the gaming pc I was planning on building as an upgrade!

https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=8c3f7665-d24f-44b0-914e-db739687cd27I want to take advantage of the AMD Ryzen cpu performance per cost. I chose that motherboard because it will allow me to upgrade to the 5000 series cpu. If given the option, I can look forward to having a rtx 3000 series gpu without bottleneck. Best performance for the money and be able to play on 2k resolution.
